Hamilton, Phantom of the Opera, Cats, Les Misérables – Audiences love these blockbuster musicals, but how many appreciate the tremendous amount of collaboration that goes into the making of a successful Broadway show? From conception to production, this course explains the role of producers, designers, choreographers, agents, casting directors, stage managers, stagehands, dance captains, understudies, swings and more. The class culminates with a look at the Tony Awards, exploring the process for selecting winners of the nation’s highest theatrical award.
