Celebrate the 250th anniversary of German composer Ludwig van Beethoven’s birth. Widely considered one of the greatest composers of all time, Beethoven overcame substantial personal hardships to create his extraordinary compositions. Musicologist David Ferris, Ph.D., provides a sweeping overview of Beethoven’s life, work and influences. From Beethoven’s earliest years to his heroic style and the true story of his fascination with Napoleon, through the pastoral style of his middle years to his late sonatas and quartets, this course provides an immersive look at Beethoven’s powerful music and enduring influence.

A 10 percent processing fee will be subtracted from all refunds. Due to the high demand for courses, registrations are considered final as of 10 days prior to the class start date. No refunds will be issued after these dates and credits will not be given for future classes. No refunds will be granted for participants who miss a portion of a program.
