CRCACLOR - Letters of Recommendation
The college application process includes many critical steps. Letters of recommendation can sometimes be an overlooked element in a student's college application. This online course offers educators knowledge on how to best advise students, so that they can secure the most effective letters of recommendation. It also provides tips and strategies to assist educators in writing effective letters of recommendation for their students.
This course may be taken independently or as a component of the College Access Counseling Certificate.
Course Details
Current counseling professionals* (public/private schools and private practice), parents and school administrators. No previous counseling experience is required for this program.
*This course is recommended for college counselors with less than three years of experience.
Advising Students on How to Secure the Most Effective Letters of Recommendation: This module addresses letters of recommendation from the perspective of student advising. As educators, how can we best advise students on how to secure the most effective letters of recommendation? Participants will learn about important information to convey to students such as the value of the letter of recommendation, how to request letters of recommendation, and tips for students to secure the strongest letters possible.
Writing Effective Letters of Recommendation: This module addresses letters of recommendation from the perspective of the educator. Participants will understand the value of the letter of recommendation to college admissions officers and develop strategies for writing effective letters for students.

Discounted Bundle Refund Policy: Participants are eligible for a 90% refund when cancellation is requested at least 30 days prior to the start of the first course in their plan of study. No refunds are provided for cancellations received less than 30 days prior to the start of the first course in their plan of study.
