Oh my gouache! Bring freedom and fun to your painting in this workshop celebrating the joy of gouache. Gouache (“g-wash”) is a lush, water-based, opaque paint that’s versatile and portable. Used for centuries by artists to capture landscapes and streetscapes, gouache has recently enjoyed renewed popularity. It’s the perfect portable media for artists on the go. Each student will complete a set of six or more mini gouache paintings on postcard-sized paper during this four-week workshop. This course is designed for students who have taken an introductory painting course or have basic familiarity with color theory, paint mixing and application.
