These online workshops are intended as a follow-up for teachers who have already attended a summer institute, or teachers who are new to the teaching this course and looking for guidance in best practices, course content, and student engagement strategies.

Course Details

These online workshops will meet for six (6) synchronous (live) hours between 8:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. Central Standard Time (CST). Participants may receive up to six (6) Continuing Professional Education (CPE) credits issued via electronic certificate.

Early rate: $185 (until September 12, 2023)
Standard rate: $210 (September 13 - October 26, 2023)
Late rate: $235 (after October 26, 2023)

Payments

Payments are accepted by credit card or purchase order. Registrations via credit card are confirmed immediately upon processing. Registrations made via PO are not considered confirmed until CCR receives the actual payment (check or credit card). If registering using a PO, payment (check or credit card) is due within 30 days of registration. Failure to submit timely payment may result in the cancellation of your registration.

Credit card payments - If you have already registered and are trying to complete payment via credit card but do not have an invoice/basket number, please send an email to collegeready@rice.edu along with the participant's name and confirmation number. If you have the invoice/basket number, you may call our front desk at 713-348-4803, then hit Option 1 to complete your payment.

Checks - Please make all checks payable to Rice University and mail to P.O. Box 1892, MS-550, Houston, TX 77251-1892.

Wire transfers - All wire transfers will incur an additional charge of $25.00 per transaction in addition to the cost of registration to cover the fees incurred by the university. Please send an to collegeready@rice.edu to receive wire instructions.

The Center for College Readiness does not provide training unless payment (credit card or check) is received in advance.

Cancellation and Refund Policy

Refunds for course cancellations received at least 30 days prior to the workshop start date are subject to a processing fee of 10% of the registration cost. No refunds are provided for nonattendance or cancellations received less than 30 days prior to the workshop start date. Registrations paid via credit card, and at least 30 days prior to the start of the workshop, may be cancelled by the participant. Registrations paid by check, and at least 30 days prior to the start of the workshop, may be cancelled by the participant but will require staff authorization. You may also send us an email to collegeready@rice.edu for assistance. We are unable to process cancellations over the phone.
