Discover or rediscover the art of watercolor painting in this workshop for artists of all skill levels. What makes watercolor such an engaging medium is its luminosity—the glow of paper shining through transparent washes of color. Whether you are a novice or a master, this course will heighten your sensitivity to the dance between pigment and paper. Learn about the characteristics of various papers, brushes and pigments and develop expertise with new skills and techniques. Be inspired by works of famed watercolorists such as Janet Fish, Winslow Homer, Jacob Lawrence, Georgia O’Keeffe, Emil Nolde, John Singer Sargent, Edward Hopper, Mary Cassatt and others. All skill levels are welcome.
