CRCACMATCH - College Match
The course provides counselors with an understanding of college match and the dangers of undermatch. Additionally, it guides college access counselors through a “match approach” to the application process including developing strong college lists. A match approach to the college search process ensures that students are more aware of and likely to seriously consider or choose institutions that are a good “fit” based on their academic profiles, career interests, financial considerations, and personal and social needs.
This course may be taken independently or as a component of the College Access Counseling Certificate.

Understanding Match Overview: In this module, we will discuss the factors that influence college match, the dangers of undermatch, and the importance of college fit. Our experts will provide examples and information regarding these terms and their impact on student life and persistence through college.
A Match Approach to Counseling Overview:In this module, we will discuss the various means of preparation needed for students and families to successfully make a decision about college and prepare for a smooth transition to their new institution.

Cancellation and Refund Policy
Single Course Refund Policy: Participants are eligible for a 90% refund when cancellation is requested at least 30 days prior to the start date of the course. No refunds are provided for cancellations received less than 30 days prior to the start date of the course.
Discounted Bundle Refund Policy: Participants are eligible for a 90% refund when cancellation is requested at least 30 days prior to the start of the first course in their plan of study. No refunds are provided for cancellations received less than 30 days prior to the start of the first course in their plan of study.

This course is self-paced within the defined 2-week period of the section.
