Course Outline

The session will focus on how to successfully transmit activities, lessons, and evaluations as schools face different limits to student access. Lessons will be designed to help those schools facing on-line learning, or mixed live and on-line “classrooms.” Five or six of the major topics of the course will be covered, using the 2019 course-design as a guide. The session goal will be to provide activities and keys that can be immediately applied to courses. Updates from College Board will be included.

Tentative Topics: The new emphasis on per capita analysis and productivity, the multiple ways to track inflation, how banks and the Federal Reserve “create” money, the basics of “Crowding Out”, and automatic stabilizers. As time permits, one of the 2020 FRQ questions will be analyzed as a sample of student expectations for the overall course.
