CRIBOTOK - IB Theory of knowledge - DP - Category 1
The IB workshops at Rice are designed for new and experienced IB teachers at the PYP, MYP, DP, and CP levels who are interested in learning about the IB program and strategies and techniques for effectively teaching IB curriculum. Workshops are led by experienced IB workshop leaders who have a strong background in teaching and an interest in developing the IB teacher community through rigorous professional development.

Friday, October 4, 2024, 9:00 am - 3:00 pm
Saturday, October 5, 2024, 9:00 am - 3:00 pm
Thursday: 4 hours synchronous learning to be held between 9:00 AM-3:00 PM Central Time (CT) with an additional 1.5 hours of asynchronous learning required (total 5.5 hours)
Friday: 4 hours of synchronous learning to be held between 9:00 AM-3:00 PM CT with an additional 1.5 hours of asynchronous learning required (total 5.5 hours)
Saturday: 4 hours of synchronous learning to be held between 9:00 AM-3:00 PM CT (no asynchronous required)
The sum total of 15 hours online professional development will include 12 hours of synchronous and 3 hours of asynchronous learning.
Early registration: $875 (until July 5, 2024)
Standard registration: $925 (July 6 – September 18, 2024)
Late registration: $975 (after September 18, 2024)
Payment information
In lieu of a purchase order, you may complete your registration using the “register now and pay by check later” option. Your seat will be held for up to 30 days. Payment by (check, eCheck, ACH, or credit card) is due within 30 days of registration. Failure to submit a timely payment may result in the cancellation of your registration.
You may also complete your registration using a credit card. Registrations via credit card are confirmed immediately upon processing.The Center for College Readiness does not provide training unless payment by (check, eCheck, ACH, or credit card) is received in advance. If you need to discuss other payment options or request additional time to submit payment, please send us a request via email to collegeready@rice.edu.
Credit card payments - If you have already registered and are trying to complete payment via credit card but do not have an invoice/basket number, please send an email to collegeready@rice.edu along with the participant's name and confirmation number. Checks - Please make all checks payable to Rice University and mail to P.O. Box 1892, MS-550, Houston, TX 77251-1892.
Wire transfers - Please send an email to collegeready@rice.edu to receive wire instructions. All wire transfers will incur an additional charge of $25.00 per transaction in addition to the cost of registration to cover the fees incurred by the university.
Cancellation and Refund Policy
Refund Policy: Refunds for course cancellations received at least 30 days prior to the workshop start date are subject to a processing fee of 10% of the registration cost. No refunds are provided for nonattendance or cancellations received less than 30 days prior to the workshop start date. Registrations paid via credit card, and at least 30 days prior to the start of the workshop, may be cancelled by the participant. Registrations paid by check, and at least 30 days prior to the start of the workshop, may be cancelled by the participant but will require staff authorization.
