Covering a wide array of topics, this lecture series examines a different subject each week. Outstanding Rice University faculty and other experts from the arts, humanities and sciences share insights on such topics as the global history of laughter, how vertebrates transitioned from water to land, the golden age of cartoon music, the butterflies of Houston, Plato’s perspective on the meaning of life and more. This series offers a unique opportunity to sample the diverse course content and instructors featured at the Glasscock School of Continuing Studies.
