PSLEGET7023 - Embracing AI for Legal Professionals
ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE TRAINING
Law firms are fast adopting Artificial Intelligence as a means of expanding attorney client capacity and providing more cost-efficient legal services. Instead of taking paralegal jobs, it is now basically dogma that AI will instead make paralegals more valuable to law firms by expanding their capabilities and making paralegal work product more accurate, efficient, and of higher quality. To meet this new reality, Rice's Paralegal Program is the first in the country to embed AI training into the program. Students are trained to effectively, and ethically, utilize the AI tools most widely used in law firms. Each assignment also incorporates elements of AI, little by little, into research and writing assignments, drafting deposition and interview questions, and more.
