Create small paintings with big vision in this short course with artist Laura Spector exploring unseen, overlooked and invisible worlds. Take a “deep see” into the deep sea and capture the delightful diversity of ocean life. Take an intimate look at the wonders hiding in plain sight as you paint microscopic creatures. Turn your eye to the skies and portray real and imagined landscapes and life-forms of outer space. This playful course is ideal for artists who want to see the world with fresh eyes, stretch their imaginations, and paint loose and free. Each student will create four small paintings in acrylic, oil, gouache or watercolor. This course is designed for students who have taken an introductory painting class or have basic familiarity with color theory, paint mixing and application.
