This workshop focuses on developing leadership skills through self-discovery, team building, and driving positive change. It emphasizes creating collaborative environments to bring about positive change and covers leadership aspects such as leading oneself, teams, and systems.
Module I - Leading Self: Your DiSC Leadership Style: Explore your communication and work styles through the DiSC™ assessment. This interactive module helps you leverage your strengths, manage weaknesses, collaborate effectively, and build trust as a leader.
Module II - Leading Teams: Building High-Performing Teams: Learn the two dimensions of high-performing teams and the 14 competencies that drive their success. Through interactive exercises, diagnose and address challenging competencies, leverage team strengths, and address toxic behaviors that hinder team performance.
Module III - Leading the Organization: The Art and Practice of Influencing Without Authority: Develop skills to influence and garner support beyond your job title. Challenge assumptions about creating meaningful change and explore Harvard Kennedy School’s Adaptive Leadership framework through engaging activities. Experience the concepts in action through a "case-in-point" teaching approach.

Registrations are final 10 business days before the class starts, and no refunds or credits will be issued after this deadline. Participants who miss any portion of the workshop will not be eligible for refunds. Refund requests made before the deadline must be submitted in writing to riceprofdev@rice.edu and will incur a 10% processing fee of the full published tuition price. If books or other learning materials have been issued, the cost of the books and shipping fees will also be deducted. Refunds for credit card payments will be processed back to the original payment accounts and may not appear until the following statement. Refunds for enrollments paid by check may take up to six weeks to process and will be mailed by the Rice University accounting office. A $30 fee will be charged for any check returned due to insufficient funds.
