Anyone with a camera desires to create a great photograph—one that is striking and engages the viewer’s imagination. Skillful use of your camera contributes to the quality and creativity of photographs and frees you to notice what Henri Cartier-Bresson called “the decisive moment.” Many people miss good photographs because their attention is consumed by their camera instead of the fleeting experiences they seek to capture. In this workshop, professional photographer Bob Warren guides photographers in two areas—seeing the potential for a great photograph and gaining mastery of camera skills including metering, focusing, framing and composing. The course includes an out-of-class assignment and culminates in a supportive critique.

Note: This course is for students who have completed a beginning photography course.
