The drama of night photography has long captivated professional artists and amateurs alike. Photographing at night also presents unique technical challenges that take insight and practice to overcome. Explore Rice University’s beautiful campus after dark in this on-site workshop with professional photographer Bob Warren. Week one of the workshop includes a review of techniques and inspirations from other photographers, as well as a campus twilight and moonlight photo walk with the class and instructor. The second class meeting incorporates a review of images, tips on post-processing techniques using Lightroom™ or other programs, and suggestions for taking your night photography to the next level.

Note: The campus photo walk destination will be up to three-quarters of a mile each way from the Glasscock School’s Anderson-Clarke Center. A campus shuttle bus is available, leaving at approximately 20-minute intervals. Please email cpcoord@rice.edu if you have questions. This course is appropriate for people who have taken an introductory photography class or otherwise have familiarity with their camera’s basic functions.
