Camera handling is one of the most important aspects of photography. Many people miss good photographs because their attention is consumed by their camera instead of the fleeting experiences they seek to capture. Skillful camera handling contributes to the quality and creativity of photographs and frees you to notice what Henri Cartier-Bresson called “the decisive moment.” In this workshop, professional photographer Bob Warren will help beginning and intermediate photographers gain mastery of camera-handling skills including metering, focusing, framing and shooting pictures, with competence and confidence. The course includes an out-of-class assignment and culminates in a supportive critique.

Note: This course is appropriate for people who have taken an introductory photography class or otherwise have familiarity with their camera’s basic functions.
