Rice Summer Visiting Student Application - International High School Students

Welcome to Rice University's Summer Sessions Application for Visiting International High School Students

Session I: April 27, 2026

Block A1: May 4, 2026

Block B1: May 4, 2026

Block C1: May 11, 2026

Block D1: May 26, 2026

Block E1: June 8, 2026

Block B2: June 22, 2026

Block C2: June 29, 2026

Applicants will be asked to provide the following:

• Unofficial Transcript
• Release and Hold Harmless Agreement (if under 18 years old)
• Meningococcal Vaccination Record or Waiver (if under 22 years old)
• Financial Responsibility Agreement

English Proficiency Requirements:

• Two years full-time study in an English curriculum, OR;

• Submit one of the following English proficiency test scores

Select your courses before starting the application. See our Summer Catalog for a list of offerings. Have the following on hand for at least 1 course:

• Course Name
• Subject Code (SUBJ)
• Course # (e.g. 123)
• Section (e.g. 001)
• CRN (e.g. 12345)

Note: Admission to Summer Sessions does not constitute admission to Rice University. No housing is available through the Summer Sessions Program. Visiting Student programs are ineligible for visa sponsorship; students are responsible for ensuring enrollment does not affect their U.S. immigration status.

Courses offered during Summer Sessions may be canceled due to low enrollment. If your course is canceled, tuition and fees will be refunded except for the nonrefundable application fee.

Only one application is needed for multiple sessions.
